- Capable of taking full ownership of QC activities on any project
- Automation in selenium (Java or Ruby)
- Expertise in CI/CD (Jenkins /Teamcity/Octopus)
- Expertise in Load Testing Tool-JMETER
- Expertise in Security Testing (OWAPS ZAP, ReadyAPI)
- Expertise in Testing (Web/Desktop Applications) build in Magento
- Good communications skills
Job Description
Senior Software Quality Control Engineer shall be engaged in mostly external projects and is involved throughout the project life cycle. SQCEs shall review project artifacts, write/review test plans and test cases for regression and functional testing, execute software tests and generate test reports. Typically a Senior Quality Control engineer will be involved with a wide variety of projects making use of a wide variety of software technologies.
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the QCM/QCL, his/her primary responsibilities are:
- Take initiative and full ownership in ensuring quality of deliverables in your assigned projects
- Thorough understanding of the Application Under Test
- Execute software testing in critical areas of the application
- Evaluate product quality before release and notify concerned personnel about any potential risks as early as possible.
Write test documentation:
- Engage with the Customer and Project team to derive test requirements
- Prepare/Review test plan
- Prepare/Review test suite
Execute software testing:
- Manual/ Automated Tests
- Performance Tests
- User Acceptance test
- Execute test cases
- Detail oriented testing
- Write test scripts
- Prepare test data
Other Requirements:
- Provide support to the developers, PM on any QC related task
- Identify defects, classifying them by severity and even priority if the need arises, and documenting in the project defect tracking tool
- Prepare release package if required. Install the package on the test bed and execute software testing
- Create bug reports and test reports
- Communicate with Project Team, Management and Customers regarding test results
