Job Description

Build up Nepal was started right after the earthquakes with the goal to help rural villages rebuild. We believe the best way to rebuild Nepal is by empowering local people and using local materials. We are working with Earth brick technology supporting local entrepreneurs to make their own bricks in the village using a small machine.

As part of the Build up Nepal team you will be working with reconstruction in rural areas by finding and supporting local entrepreneurs to take lead in rebuilding their own villages. 

The job focuses on:

• Identifying potential entrepreneurs and local builders
• Meeting with potential clients in the office as well as in the field 
• Sales of machines and training to the entrepreneurs so the can establish their enterprise. 
• Supporting those small business with business training and helping them succeed i rebuilding their village

The job is 50% in field and 50% from our office in Patan.

The job involves mobilizing the community and working to follow up each project to ensure that every entrepreneur and village succeeds in their reconstruction effort. You will be working closely together with our engineers who will be providing the technical expertise, support, training etc. to the entrepreneurs and communities. The work is based from our office near Patan Dhoka but also involves much travel to rural areas and communities. 

We are looking for a person who shares our vision and is ready to walk the extra mile for the reconstruction of remote villages. We are looking for someone with perfect communication skills in both Nepali and English. You also need to be highly motivated and have a passion to make a difference. Previous experience from sales and business development is required. Academic degree within the same is preferable . What we offer:
