Manager-Front Office
Main duties:
- Primarily responsible for the overall procedures and standards of service at the Reception.
- Maintains a high level of Guest Service Agents &Shift Leaders welfare and employee satisfaction.
- Coaches all new employees and develops existing employees to ensure that maximum performance and growth is obtained.
- Co-ordinates and participates in a section monthly training program.
- Ensures that all accounting auditing practices are in line with company practices and government requirements.
- Supervises Reception personnel recognition.
- Communicates with other departments, especially Housekeeping, to make sure that all issues related to them are taken care of.
- Inspects frequently for cleanliness and orderliness of the Lobby reception and Cashier’s desk.
- Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform appearance and posture of sections employees.
- Assists in monitoring and controlling, on an on-going basis.
- Routinely checks billing instructions and guest credit for accuracy and compliance with hotel credit policy.
- Coordinates with security in the investigation of irregularities and undesirable guests.
- Coordinates with Housekeeping on checking discrepancies.
- Checks all audit and registration cards of cashiers before sending them to accounts.
- Assists in maintaining smooth relationships between management and guests by resolving problems arising from guest complaints and attending to their requests or queries with dispatch.
- Escorting VIPs to their rooms when necessary.
- Seeing to the accommodation and transportation of overflow guests in cases of full emergency.
- Ensures all new procedures and policies are communicated and implemented effectively within the department.
- Ensures that all Front Office standards are maintained by regular spot checks and observations taking corrective action and retraining.
- Prepares work schedules and store requisitions on timely basis.
- Cooperates in the performance of any reasonable task requested by the management.
- Maintains and ensures that up selling targets met and everyone is participating in it.
- Relieves an extensive knowledge on any hotel or corporate promotions or alliances.

the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Technician
(Ac & Refrigeration) to join Engineering department in Jumeirah Pre-opening
hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- To carry out repairs, maintenance and installation to all related plant and equipment.
- To complete work orders, PPMs CWAs as directed.
- To select correct materials from engineering stores.
- To organize work in a skilled and professional manner.
- To advise supervisor colleagues promptly of any problems or failures.
- To ensure safe working conditions for yourself and your colleagues and report to senior colleagues any unsafe working conditions.
- Read and understand basic drawings.
- To use mechanical/electrical test equipment and instruments.
- Work on own initiative without full detailed supervision or direction.

Request support and direction as needed.

Be familiar with and comply with all relevant
Engineering department policies, policies, processes and procedures.

To perform other duties that management may from
time to time reasonably require.
About
you:
The ideal candidate for this position will
have the following experience and qualifications:
- At least 2 year experience as AC & Refrigeration Technician in a 5 star hotel or 5 years in general engineering services.
- Knowledge in computer base planed preventive maintenance, FLS and high-rise building system.
- General Knowledge in Mechanical, Plumbing and other trades
- At least with vocational certificate in engineering related trade.
- Good English communication skills.
